If you have any issues with the hotel links, please reach out to Stacey or the hotel through their website! Some of the room block rooms may show as unavailable as our weekend is just a few weeks away, but that doesn't mean the hotel is sold out!
Antigua is an incredibly walkable city—most places you'll want to go are just a 5-15 minute walk away. That said, many of the streets are made of cobblestone, so comfortable shoes are a must. Tuk-tuks are the local taxis if you'd rather not walk.
Antigua is known for its diverse restaurant and bar scene—whether you're looking for traditional Guatemalan cuisine or something international. These are just a few:
27 Adentro - Guatemalan Fusion
Nanik - Guatemalan, Central American
Wander into the shops around the central park area or head to one of the artisanal markets for souvenirs:
Mercado Oficial de Artesanías Municipal
Poniente 5, Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala
Doña María Gordilla - opened in 1872, a family-owned business famous for their traditional Guatemalan sweets and desserts, just a block away from the main central park.
Antigua Tours also offers great walking tours around the town and in other parts of Guatemala if you plan to extend your trip and visit areas outside of Antigua:
Guatemala is known for its excellent coffee and there are a few coffee plantations you can tour in the area.
Make the most of your trip to Guatemala! If you’re extending your stay, there are so many places to explore. Visit Lake Atitlán, a beautiful lake surrounded by volcanoes and lakeside villages, great for relaxing or outdoor adventures. History lovers will enjoy Tikal National Park, an ancient Mayan city hidden in the jungle, where you can climb towering temples. For something more adventurous, hike Pacaya Volcano, where you can witness flowing lava and volcanic landscapes.
